This position performs required transactions for processing and maintaining inventory integrity in assigned stockrooms, warehouses, or service locations. This function provides maintenance and reconciliation of the inventory residing in these locations to ensure a high level of accuracy where inventory values are millions of dollars. Applicable inventory includes sub-assemblies, piece parts, or other capitalized property.
This individual will sit Onsite at our Collins Aerospace Location in Coralville, IA.
What You Will Do
- One of three inventory analysts responsible for plant 1002 inventory
- Support the Automated Storage Retrieval System (ASRS) area for Production and backup for the other warehouses
- Manage the efficient movement of material from receiving to warehouse and on to production
- Plan, schedule and manage counts, recounts, and the reconciling of cycle counts
- Work with shift supervisors to identify and resolve inventory issues
- Audit response responsibility to internal and external audit on inventory accuracy and cycle count
- Maintains effective communications with customers to better understand support requirements
- Mentor and instruct members of the inventory and warehouse staff
- Manage the inventory write-off report
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
- Experience in one more of the following areas: production control, manufacturing, logistics, warehouse, packing/shipping, supply chain, commodity, material handling/management
- Inventory management systems and software
Qualifications We Prefer
- Proficiency with SAP, especially in inventory or logistics modules
- Experience using AIMS for warehouse inventory tracking and reporting
- Strong background in warehouse inventory management, including cycle counts and stock reconciliation
