Job Description
The Enterprise Product Consumer Data team is responsible for collection, standardization, and democratization of data across NBCUniversal to enable for activation, monetization, and engagement in secure, privacy-centric ways.
As a Product Owner reporting to the Director of Product Operations, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the successful development, launch, and management of our digital products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, designers, and stakeholders, to ensure that our products meet high-quality standards and deliver exceptional user experiences.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Product Support: Collaborate with the product team to provide end-to-end support for product development initiatives, from concept to launch.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing and quality assurance of digital products, identifying and reporting issues, and ensuring that all products meet established quality standards.
- Documentation: Maintain and update product documentation, including user guides, specifications, and requirements, to ensure alignment across teams.
- Data Analysis: Utilize data analysis tools and techniques to gather insights on product performance and user behavior, assisting in data-driven decision-making.
- Communication: Facilitate effective communication between cross-functional teams, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed about product updates, issues, and progress.
- Problem Solving: Collaborate with the team to identify and resolve product-related challenges and issues in a timely manner.
- Training and Onboarding: Assist in the onboarding and training of new team members and provide ongoing guidance on product-related processes and procedures.
- Strategic Alignment: Align with the overarching strategic vision and objectives of the Consumer Data Product Teams, creating a cohesive and goal-oriented product roadmap for operations.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
- Minimum 3+ years of experience as Product Manager or Product Operation role
- Product Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in SQL or similar query languages to analyze data and derive insights. Experience with Airtable, JIRA, or other workflow management systems is a plus.
- Data Analysis: Demonstrated ability to utilize data to drive decision-making and inform product strategies.
- Product Management: Previous experience in product management or operations roles, with a solid understanding of product development lifecycles and methodologies.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
- A passion for media and entertainment is a plus.
Desired Characteristics:
- Experience with data activation and monetization strategies, leveraging data assets to drive revenue and business growth.
- Familiarity with data tools and technologies, such as data warehouses, data lakes, ETL processes, and data visualization tools.
- Prior experience in privacy-sensitive indust
