Job Description

We are seeking a strategic, hands-on Manager – Data Apps and Visualizations to lead the development and implementation of enterprise data visualization and reporting solutions. This role will manage a high-impact team responsible for delivering business-critical dashboards, KPI reporting, and custom analytics applications. This individual will own the vision, roadmap, and execution for data visualization at the company, ensuring solutions are scalable, reliable, and aligned with evolving business needs. The ideal candidate combines business savvy with a strong appreciation for modern data tools and user-centric design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Data Visualization & Applications team, including full-time employees and contractors.
  • Develop and execute the strategy for enterprise data visualization, reporting, and analytics tools.
  • Ensure dashboards, KPI reports, and visual applications meet business objectives and enable informed decision-making.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders to understand needs, prioritize requests, and ensure effective solutions.
  • Oversee and evolve the use of Power BI, Tableau, and custom-built analytics tools (C# or Python-based) across departments.
  • Drive governance and best practices around data access, visualization standards, and performance optimization.
  • Advocate for user adoption and training of visualization tools, creating a data-literate culture across the organization.
  • Stay current with emerging trends in data visualization and analytics technology to inform future-state architecture.

 

 

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or application development.
  • 2+ years of experience in a people leadership or project management capacity.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering data visualizations and analytics solutions that drive measurable business outcomes.
  • Proficiency in Power BI and/or Tableau, including dashboard design and performance tuning.
  • Exposure to or familiarity with application development using C# or Python.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with a track record of cross-functional collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a manufacturing, technology, or enterprise IT environment.
  • Familiarity with data modeling, SQL, and cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Azure, etc.).
  • Understanding of data governance, access controls, and visualization lifecycle management.
  • Ability to coach and mentor team members on technical and professional development.

Additional Information

For California, Colorado, New York, Washington, and remote roles: The compensation range for this role is $118,860 - $196,720. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
