About the role

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain backend systems for the FortiCNAPP and FortiGateCNF products.
Build robust, lasting, and scalable applications across public clouds such as AWS and Azure.
Conduct comprehensive analysis and resolution of customer issues.
Leverage expertise in Web services, Linux, and Docker to develop and deploy robust, scalable cloud security applications.
Develop and maintain data analytics dashboards and reports to visualize key performance indicators.
Create comprehensive technical documentation and procedures for software solutions.
Work closely with other engineers, DevOps and QA teams throughout the product development process
Research new technologies and trends to be familiar with and be able to devise new solution.

Requirements:

BS in Computer Science or related field with 4+ years of work experience or MS in Computer Science or related field with 2+ years of work experience in server side development for cloud applications.
Implemented scalable micro services using languages like Python/Java/TypeScript. Python experience is preferred.
Extensive experience in Linux application development and system performance troubleshooting and optimization.
Experience developing REST APIs using the Web application frameworks such as Django, Springboot.
Extensive experience with developing fault-tolerant and high performance applications using combination of tools such as databases(MySQL/Postgres), caches(redis) and queuing systems(RabbitMQ, Kafka).
Designed and implemented high volume, mission-critical, distributed services in the Cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure).
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
Experience working with security appliances such as firewalls is a good to have.
Knowledge of cloud security and compliance frameworks is a bonus.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $140,000-$180,000. Fortinet offers employees a variety of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k), 11 paid holidays, vacation time, and sick time as well as a comprehensive leave program.

Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, and job level. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate's subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.

All roles are eligible to participate in the Fortinet equity program, Bonus eligibility is reviewed at time of hire and annually at the Company’s discretion.
