Quality Control Inspector

The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for monitoring and evaluating the quality of flooring products at different stages—ranging from raw materials to final installation. This role ensures that the products are defect-free, comply with industry standards, and meet the company's quality expectations.
- Inspects in-process production by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, communicating required adjustments to production supervisor.
- Approves products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests (with different quality tools), returning products for re-work, and confirming re-work, putting questionable quality products on hold, identifying and reporting waste.
- Visual and measurement tests and rejecting and returning unacceptable quality materials.
- Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizing re-work and waste, and inputting data into quality databases.
- Keeps measuring equipment operating by following operating instructions and calibration requirements and calling for repairs.
- Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications.
- Following and practicing Quality Control Training manual and taking full responsibility for quality incidents at their work area
- Accomplishes quality and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Management
- The Quality Inspector will report directly to the Quality Manager.
- 2 years of experience in Quality Control
- Written and verbal communication skills

Education and Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma
- Experience with quality control techniques such as Six Sigma
- Experience with measuring devices such as meters, gauges, computers, calipers, and other measuring instruments.
- One to two years’ quality inspector experience
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. This position is occasionally exposed to wet, warm, humid, and cold temperatures. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is frequently required to sit; occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move 50 pounds. Employees must be able to wear respirators for extended periods of time.
