Senior Electrical Engineer and/or Control & Instrumentation Engineer (FY24-03)

Navarro Research and Engineering is recruiting for a Part Time Senior Electrical Engineer and/or Control & Instrumentation Engineer in Richland, WA.

The United States Department of Energy (DOE) Assistant Manager for Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant (AMWTP) requires support. The Contractor shall provide senior level General Support Services Contractors (GSSC) to support in the following areas:

· Support DOE Design Reviews of the High Level Waste Facility for the Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant located at the Hanford Site.

· Perform document reviews and field observations of work activities to collect data in support of design reviews.

· Document review scope as outlined in Design Review Plans and/or as requested by technical monitor.

· Provide written and verbal communication (DOE ORP Design Review Team Lead, AMWTP Management,

· Support additional technical reviews on additional technical scope as needed and directed by technical monitor.

· Interface with DOE-ORP/RL subject matter experts.

· Interface with Hanford site contractors.

· There is the potential for limited field oversight and/or fabricator/vendor visits in support of design reviews. Such tasks will be under the direction of the technical monitor.

· Support for certain durations of the design review scope will require full time support however overall support will be adjusted accordingly and support will not exceed the 960 hours allotted for the year.

Work products shall be thorough, accurate, appropriately documented, and comply with established criteria. The Contractor shall ensure that duties are performed in a competent and professional manner. The Contractor employee shall submit a weekly report to the technical monitor addressing work accomplished, and deliverable progress.

Requirements

• Substantial demonstrated experience or equivalent experience as determined by the technical monitor in the following:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study.
• Experience with design and fabrication directly related to the specified discipline.
• Construction safety and oversight.
• DOE assessment process, techniques, and tools.
• Hanford Tank Farms and/or Waste Treatment & Immobilization Plant processes and mission.
• Fundamental understanding of nuclear applications of the specified discipline
• Experience in design reviews, causal analysis, management review and appraisal techniques, and quality assurance.
• Capable of reading, interpreting and understanding the regulations associated with the DOE, Environmental Protection Agency, Occupational Safety and Health Administration, Nuclear Regulatory Commission, state and local, and related industry standards by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers and the American National Standards Institute.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Professional Engineering License
• Ability to complete appropriate security badging requirements.

Salary Range: $40/hr. - $70/hr./
