The Work You Will Do:
Precast Manager / State Highway Engineer / Office of Materials / Structural Materials / Concrete Materials
This position is responsible for inspecting prestressed and precast concrete materials in the field during fabrication, construction, maintenance, and design, and performing forensic analysis of concrete failures. The selected candidate will determine material compliance with Department requirements, develop and maintain Department specifications, procedures, and manuals, and collaborate with FHWA, AASHTO, and ASTM to revise national standards. This role also supports the Department's liaison activities with precast concrete industry associations, assists with research project development and management, and performs Independent Assurance evaluations in accordance with Department and Federal procedures.
