EY-Parthenon - Strategy and Execution - Macroeconomist - (Senior Manager) (Multiple Positions) (1626448), Ernst & Young U.S. LLP, New York, NY.
Lead and analyze the production of the U.S. forecast including managing and maintaining the EY-Parthenon US Macroeconomic Model. Develop global macroeconomic scenarios around the in-house baseline view, as well as tools and models for forecasting macroeconomic trends using statistical techniques. Conduct and publish research aimed at understanding thematic and real-time macroeconomic and policy developments and responding to client and internal queries about our economic outlook and forecasts would also be expected. Deliver presentations on economic issues to internal and external audiences while also providing support and training to EY engagement teams. The Develop a broad network of relationships with clients, media, and policymakers. Act as a liaison between Chief Economist and client engagement teams and collaborate with EY business leaders and other groups on behalf of the Chief Economist.
Lead and direct teams of professionals with diverse skills and backgrounds by providing constructive on-the-job feedback/coaching to team members. Develop and maintain long-term client relationships and networks. Manage risk in the delivery of quality client services. Generate and manage new business opportunities.
Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Master’s degree in Macroeconomics, Economics or a related field and 6 years of related experience. Alternatively, will accept a PhD in Macroeconomics, Economics or a related field and 4 years of related experience.
Must have 4 years of experience using applied macroeconomics models for forecasting and scenario analysis.
Must have 4 years of experience conducting macroeconomic research and analysis.
Must have 4 years of experience analyzing U.S. economic data releases and Federal Reserve developments.
Must have 4 years of experience with HIS Markit’s or Oxford Economics’ large-scale macroeconomic model.
Must have 4 years of experience with Statistical package EViews.
Must have 3 years of experience managing engagements and engagement related budgets; and, leading teams, including projects and engagement leadership.
Must have 2 years of experience working on pursuits, including giving presentations, leading client meetings, and developing relationships with external client contacts.
Requires travel up to 15%, of which 5% may be international, to serve client needs.
