Position Overview:

The Executive Director – Global Imaging Portfolio and Project Management, Global Imaging, will report directly to the Global Imaging Platform Leader. This pivotal leadership role is responsible for steering the operational execution of the Lilly Global Imaging Platform. The incumbent will oversee the portfolio management for both nonclinical and clinical imaging functions, fostering innovation and excellence in Imaging Research and Development. By integrating cross-functional capabilities and aligning with corporate objectives, this role will drive transformative advancements in imaging science to support Lilly’s mission of improving lives through groundbreaking medical discoveries.

  

Responsibilities:

Enable Strategy

  • Serves as a strategic partner in organizing and administering Imaging Research and Development (Global Imaging Platform) at Lilly
  • Ensures communication across functional areas such as Clinical Development, Medical, Imaging Operations, Imaging R&D, Regulatory, Business Development, and field medical teams; facilitates effective cross functional communication with Lilly Operations, Product R&D manufacturing, Finance, Quality, and Lilly therapeutic business units.
  • Acts as a liaison to shared resources at Lilly to advocate for the needs of the imaging research and development organization
  • Works with project management and imaging team to ensure appropriate communication with imaging and therapeutic clinical protocol teams
  • Helps determine and track deployment of resources to support imaging biomarkers and diagnostic needs of early phase and portfolio-level assets (including but not limited to neuroscience and oncology.)

Deliver Results

  • Coordinates delivery of milestones on time, on budget, and within scope, including budget management; Delivers effective reporting and visualization of project milestones and risks
  • Ensures that the team, key stakeholders and the broader organization understand key project risks. Drive risk management processes to ensure appropriate plans and actions are in place.  Provide justification for risk mitigation plans and seek approval as needed
  • Utilizes fundamental project management capabilities, processes and tools to execute the development plans, monitoring and managing cross functional team performance and metrics with appropriate and timely escalation as necessary to mitigate risks and meet/beat timelines
  • Delivers cross-functional results through people by utilizing project management, influence, and communication skills
  • Drives documentation and communication of key decisions, actions, and key modifications in time, budget, scope, and risk to key stakeholders
  • Develops a robust issues management process for the team
  • Facilitates the resolution of issues that impact key project deliverables.
  • Develops and drives cross functional efforts for continuous improvement and transformation to support growth, acceleration, and scalability

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors’ degree in Scientific field and/or MBA required.
  • Minimum of 10 years working in project management and or clinical developmen
