The following position is to join our RTX Corporate, Enterprise Services:

RTX launched oneRTX focused on leveraging the scale of our three business units to improve collaboration, cost structure, productivity, and performance. The oneRTX: Process & Systems Transformation (PST) project is one of several major, multi-year initiatives under oneRTX that align to our goals as a company and optimize how we work, how we operate and how we deliver to our customers so that we can achieve our full potential.

oneRTX: PST will harmonize processes, tools, and metrics across RTX, while deploying a common enterprise resource management platform – SAP’s S/4 HANA. The result will be a common user experience across the businesses, real-time visibility into critical data, and automation of manual tasks enabling all employees to focus on value-add activities.  With processes optimized and harmonized, we will leverage our scale so teams across RTX can share resources, leverage talent seamlessly and identify efficiencies. We will reduce cost and effort and improve performance as we break down silos and establish consistent ways of working. 

The Record to Report (R2R) value stream is the information network of our company.  Within R2R, we capture and organize financial data, enable planning and risk mitigation, ensure the financial health of the enterprise, and provide metrics and financial analysis to decision-makers in the Company.   R2R includes a large portion of the finance organization including Accounting & Controllership, Financial Planning, Tax, and Treasury functions. Within the R2R value stream, our project is organized into three towers: Accounting, Costing, and Functional.

P5 Senior Manager, Standard Costing Lead

The Standard Costing Lead is responsible for engaging with RTX business process leaders to design the future Costing process for the Company.  The Costing Tower includes inventory costing methods, cost allocations, and project accounting.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and coordinate an inventory standard costing approach across multiple business units, ensuring alignment and consistency in processes and practices.
  • Lead the design of an inventory standard costing approach that enables RTX to operate with more common, collaborative, and interoperable processes & systems.
  • Ensure alignment across inventory costing areas, including project accounting, intercompany transactions, and cost allocations, driving cohesive integration and common processes.
  • Influence key decision-makers on critical system design choices for standard costing, providing expert guidance to shape the Company’s overall approach in this area..
  • Engage with RTX’s system integration partner, leading system blueprint and design sessions to ensure the standard costing process is fully integrated with broader financial systems and tools.
  • Partner with RTX Business Units, Enterprise Services and Corporate Functions on development of future state process improvements.
  • Ability to travel up to 40%, or as needed.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience.
  • Experience with aerospace and defense industry and the R2R value stream finance functions, with a focus on inventory costing, project accounting, cost allocation
