Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Maintenance Manager to oversee maintenance operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, reliability, and longevity of all production equipment, machinery, and facility infrastructure. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise in industrial maintenance, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
Maintenance Operations and Management
● Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive Preventive Maintenance program for all production equipment, including CNC machinery, edge banders, material handling systems, and facility utilities.
● Prioritize repairs, and ensure timely and effective resolution of all equipment breakdowns.
Technical Expertise and Troubleshooting
● Possess a strong working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems typical in a woodworking manufacturing environment.
● Ensure all machinery is maintained in compliance with manufacturer specifications, safety regulations, and codes.
● Manage the maintenance of specialized woodworking equipment, including:
○ Saws
○ CNC Routers and Machining Centers
○ Moulding and Shaping Equipment
Safety and Compliance
● Champion a culture of safety within the maintenance department and throughout the facility.
● Ensure strict adherence to Lockout/Tagout procedures, confined space entry, and other critical safety protocols.
● Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
Continuous Improvement
● Identify opportunities for process and equipment improvement to enhance efficiency, reduce downtime, and lower operating costs.
Qualifications
Required Experience and Skills
● Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in industrial maintenance, with at least 3 years in a management or supervisory role.
● Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably woodworking, cabinet, or millwork production.
● Demonstrated expertise in industrial electrical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical power transmission.
Education
● Associate’s degree or technical certification in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Or equivalent experience.
