QualificationsWHAT YOU WILL DO (JOB SUMMARY)
The Pool Support Technician is a cross-property role serving both Rush Creek Lodge and Evergreen Lodge. Reporting directly to the Facilities Director, this position is responsible for the daily operation, chemical maintenance, cleanliness, and safety of all pools and spas. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently in the early morning. This is an entry-level opportunity — no prior pool experience is required, and CPO (Certified Pool Operator) certification will be supported within the first month of employment.
A typical shifts tasks look like this:
At Rush Creek — inspect pool & hot tub equipment, take & record parameter readings, dose chemicals if needed, close/reopen the bodies of water accordingly, complete daily logbooks, and communicate any maintenance needs to the onsite facilities manager.
At Rush Creek — repeat process for the spa; take & record parameter readings, dose chemicals if needed, close/reopen the bodies of water accordingly, complete daily logbooks and communicate any maintenance needs to the onsite facilities and spa managers.
At Rush Creek — tidy pool area, reset furniture, and tidy playground, outside event hall and outside tavern areas as time allows
Traveling to Evergreen Lodge — this is a 20 minute drive from Rush Creek Lodge.
At Evergreen Lodge — inspect pool & hot tub equipment, take & record parameter readings, dose chemicals if needed, close/reopen the bodies of water accordingly, complete daily logbooks, and communicate any maintenance needs to the onsite facilities manager.
At Evergreen Lodge — reset furniture, and tidy pool area.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform daily inspection of pool and spa equipment at both properties
Record water parameter readings accurately in the shared Google Drive logbook
Dose and balance pool and spa chemicals in accordance with established safety procedures
Close and reopen bodies of water per chemical dosing protocols
Reset pool furniture and tidy pool, playground, event hall, and tavern areas
Communicate maintenance needs and issues to onsite property managers and the Facilities Director
Maintain accurate daily reporting using established tracking tools
Prioritize tasks based on business needs and property schedules
Work safely, address safety issues promptly, and use proper personal protective equipment
Comply with shift schedules and break requirements
Perform other duties as assigned, including additional lodge support as needed
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (required)
CPO (Certified Pool Operator) certification required within first month of employment — support provided
Prior experience in pool/spa maintenance a plus, but not required
Experience living or working in a rural or remote environment a plus
COMPETENCIES / REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize based on business needs
Familiarity with Google Drive and basic digital reporting tools
Basic understanding of electrical and pump systems (preferred, not required)
Familiarity with PVC plumbing components (installation experience not required)
