As a Driver/Paraprofessional you will be operating a school van over designated routes, transporting school aged individuals, transporting clients for various charter trips, and be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of clients. (rates differ from Para and Driving hours)
Shifts Available
Start 6:00AM to 8:00AM Finish 4:00PM- 7PM
10 hours shifts

Key Accountabilities
As a Driver...
• Follow safety rules as students board and exit van or cross streets near stops
• Comply with traffic regulations to operate vehicles in a safe and courteous manner
• Check the condition of a vehicle's equipment to ensure that everything is in working order
• Maintain order among pupils during trips to ensure safety
• Pick up and drop off students at regularly scheduled locations, following strict time schedules
As a Paraprofessional...
• Implement and follow individual behavior plans
• Must prepare an organize daily work materials and workspaces
• Complete daily Home Note communication forms for parents and/or guardians
• Attend and participate in meetings and trainings with Special Education Teacher, BCBA, or Program Supervisors to review current programs and data and to update teaching procedures and goals
• Implementation of crisis and safety procedures as directed by IEP and BIP
• Participate in group outings and social events as requested
• Build rapport and trusting relationship with students

Requirements
Education and Experience
- High School/GED required.
- 1-4 years’ experience as a driver (preferred)
License Requirements
- Must have a safe and valid driver’s license according to the school regulations.
- Unencumbered MO drivers License
- MO Residents, minimum of Class E License with S Endorsement preferred, partial reimbursement offered if need to obtain
- KS Residents, CDL Licensure
Training and Specific Skills and Abilities
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to drive when in the field.
- Must satisfactorily complete all required training.
- Be able to pass all background checks, which may include physical, drug screening and licensure.
Physical Requirements The ability to sit for extended periods of time, bend, twist, squat, reach, pull, and climb in and out of van.
