Job Summary:
- Operates the specific vehicles used for the project work in their field of specialty (road, pipelines, rail, etc.) in observance of the safety guidelines.
Main Responsibilities:
- Embrace the Company's safety culture, actively support all safety initiatives, and adhere to defined accountabilities implemented by the Safety Steering and Continuous Improvement teams
- Support, promote, and practice the Company core values, vision, and mission; follow code of ethics, workplace conduct, safety, and other established policies
- Work in accordance with MSHA standards and regulations
- Perform pre-shift safety inspections on truck to assure a safe vehicle
- Document any maintenance that may be required
- Self-load and unload materials in truck bed
- Assist with crusher machinery repairs and maintenance
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Valid driver's license with ability to maintain a clean driving history required
- CDL a plus, but not required
Skills:
- Prior experience in machinery operation on an MSHA regulated site a plus
- Prior experience in mining and/or manufacturing a plus
- Ability to interact professionally with internal and external customers and other team members
- Ability to read and write, and understand basic documents
Physical Requirements:
- Wears and maintains personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
- Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with or without assistance
- Regularly required to use hands to manipulate, handle, or feel
- Frequently required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Standing/working on feet for long periods, and walking across uneven terrain
- Frequent exposure to loud noise
- Regularly exposed to all outdoor weather conditions, dust, and airborne particles
- Regularly exposed to fuel, oil, and other chemicals
- Regularly required to use hands to feel, handle and manipulate objects, write, use a keyboard and/or mobile device
- Regularly required to communicate (talk and hear), and perform tasks requiring visual acuity
