AI Research Scientist, Generative AI Red Teaming

The Generative AI Red Team aims to measure GenAI models' safety (in particular Llama models) and accelerate the world's AI development.

We are looking for an AI research scientist, with passion for Generative AI and in particular measurement/assessment of these cutting edge models. You’d join one of our projects and build methods to solve open challenges and unblock the execution and application red teaming techniques to GenAI models, particularly Llama models.AI Research Scientist, Generative AI Red Teaming Responsibilities

• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the field of Generative AI and safety in particular.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that our GenAI models' safety is assessed leveraging state of the art solutions, and potentially co-develop them with partner teams.
• Conduct research and deliver impact on the launch of GenAI models by assessing safety via red teaming exercises.
• Communicate research findings and recommendations to stakeholders and scientific community.

Minimum Qualifications

• Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta.
• PhD in the field of Deep Learning, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, NLP, Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience with conducting research and publishing in peer-reviewed journals and AI conferences.
• Proven communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience working under your own initiative and as part of a team.
• 1+ year of experience after PhD.
• Track record of setting technical direction, driving consensus and successful cross-functional partnership.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in Adversarial ML and GenAI, preferred.
