JOB SUMMARY
The Global Medical Strategy Lead Late Phase Thoracic is an integral member of the Thoracic Development Global Product Teams. The Global Medical Strategy Late Phase Thoracic serves as an expert in the disease area(s) and leads execution of evidence and insight generation, interpretation and dissemination activities. Leads a team of 1-2 Medical Directors or Medical Strategy Directors.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Partners cross-functionally with medical teams, health and value functions, clinical development, legal, compliance and commercial teams to execute activities.
Collaborates directly with development teams, product teams and country medical teams to understand major unmet medical needs and medical environment including HCP and patient perspective, regulatory and access dynamics globally and integrate needs and insights to co-create a global medical plan
Leads Global Medical Affairs Team
Represents medical in Global Product Team and relevant subcommittees
Leads Global Medical Director team for Lung Cancer Development
Supports or leads evidence generation activities including independent research, clinical and research collaborations, and Pfizer non-interventional and interventional studies including post-hoc data generation
Leads internal data interpretation and alignment activities
Provides input to strategies around evidence dissemination and education activities including scientific publications and scientific exchange:
QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
Technical
Demonstrate deep data and disease area expertise in Lung Cancer Development
Fluency in written and spoken English required
Very strong communications and relationship building capacity and ability to listen, understand and integrate country and local needs
Managerial
Leading effectively in a matrix
Education
MD
Experience
Experience in Medical Affairs required
Clinical experience in Oncology preferred
A minimum of five years industry experience preferred
Launch experience a plus
International experience a plus
Regulatory and/or clinical development experience a plus
Proven track record of ability to work successfully with cross-functional colleagues in a matrix team setting across countries and internationally with diverse colleagues
Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

Work Location Assignment: Hybrid
The annual base salary for this position ranges from $266,500.00 to $444,100.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 25.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
