Job Summary
This is a seasonal - temporary position working full time hours.
Move materials (boxes, binders, samples, etc) within the Archives Department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Stock, move, and organize Archive materials within a controlled access area.
• Assist with the receipt of material into the Archive. Organize, file and retrieve study and ancillary facility records.
• Conform to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Laboratory Practice Regulations (GLP).
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
The pay range for this position is $16.00 an hour. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
Job Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Education: High school diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D.)
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
• Experience: 0-1 years of experience
• Certification/Licensure: None
• Other: Must be able to read, understand and follow written instructions. Must be able to transcribe numbers accurately and perform basic arithmetic. Experience utilizing MS Office software including Word, Access, and Excel.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Must be able to work in a physically demanding role involving long hours standing and bending.
• Regularly carry, lift, and move 45 lb. boxes laterally from shelf to shelf as well as up and down from 5 foot high shelves and up and down stairs.
• May use equipment such as pallet jacks, dollies, mechanical lifts, and hand trucks to move materials to different locations.
• Must be able to move about inside the archive and office areas to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
• Regularly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
• Research laboratory and general office working conditions.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
