Please note, this role is a part time role - 40 hours biweekly, rotating shifts.Primary Responsibilities To create an excellent and memorable patient experience regarding food service at Jefferson by obtaining food preferences and menu selections from patients and inputting selections into a computer utilizing CBORD software, anticipating patient needs regarding foodservice, assembling meals that are elegantly presented, and serving patients in a kind, courteous, and friendly manner.
Essential Functions
• Obtains and inputs patient preferences and menu selections utilizing the computerized CBORD software.
• Assembles patient meals on the POD that are elegantly presented and according to established standards.
• Serves meals and snacks to patients and provides patient with food service requests utilizing Jefferson service standards.
• Collects trays after meal service in a timely manner and bring tray carts to the dishroom.
• Is empowered by supervisor and takes responsibility to create a unique, memorable, and personal experience for patients.
• Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the core values of the Hospital.
Job Description
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required. Must be able to read, write, and comprehend written assignments. Must have excellent customer service skills.
Demonstrates competency in basic computer skills. Demonstrates excellent customer service skills with the ability to anticipate needs of the customer. Demonstrates the ability to use critical thinking and problem solving skills.
Requires good time management, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
