Government Reimbursement Financial Analyst Senior
Provides all government reimbursement services as assigned, including preparation of Medicare & Medicaid Cost Reports, Tricare Cost Reports, Wage Index, and handles audits and analysis by assisting with accumulation of information requested to support filings.
Assists with compilation of data for annual Medicaid disproportionate share hospital surveys and audits.
Compile and submit annual wage index reviews and occupational mix reviews as directed by CMS.
Keeps updated on changes in Medicare & Medicaid compliance requirements. Participates in available training, including webinars and on-line options.
Qualifications: Experience in healthcare finance, preferably government reimbursement, with preferred previous work experience in consulting, MAC, or multi-hospital system.
Location: Remote - reside in MO, IL, OK, or WI

Job Summary:
Performs analysis and reporting regarding financial operations and information.Job Responsibilities and Requirements:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs complex financial analysis and reporting at a senior level.
- Performs statistical, cost and financial analysis of data extracted from various internal sources. Prepares reports based on findings, including health care costs, provider contracts, debt capacity, revenue and profitability.
- Assists with budget preparation and financial planning processes. Assists with budget review for compliance and identification of cost-saving opportunities.
- Serves as consultant to senior management and executive leadership to provide decision support for initiatives, policies and procedures.
- Performs special projects and duties as assigned, including research, forecasting and exploring viable alternatives.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of experience and education
EXPERIENCE
- Five years' experience
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
- Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
- Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
- Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
- Frequent keyboard use/data entry.
- Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping.
- Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
- Rare climbing.
