As a Call Center Customer Service Representative, you’ll enjoy great working hours and the possibility of hybrid shifts. In this role, you’ll handle a range of complex clerical and technical customer service tasks. Apply today and join the Sarasota County team!Receive telephone calls from the general public and county employees for the purpose of obtaining County services or information.
Answer more complex customer concerns, billing questions, and inquiries and the ability to handle difficult customers/situations with utmost patience and professionalism.
Notate customer accounts and enters information into databases.
Help direct Customer Service Representative I and handles escalated issues and calls.
Prepare basic reports, conduct research, and coordinate special projects and assignments.
Computer billing data retrieval and input.
Processing daily payments and managing bank correspondence.
Work independently under minimal supervision.
Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
About You
Minimum Qualifications:
A High School Diploma or equivalent education.
One year experience in Utilities or a Call Center Environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Working knowledge of computer software dealing with public response.
Intermediate to advanced computer skills with advanced knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, and SharePoint.

Starting Pay Range: $18.00/hr, based on experience.
