This position is responsible for developing and guiding the implementation of Woodard & Curran’s Equity Strategy. Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources and working closely with the CEO, this position will advise and be supported by the Executive Leadership Team in working with the equity resources and broader company leadership to create and implement the initiatives to lead change and progress and to embed and advance equity within Woodard & Curran.

What You Will Be Doing at Woodard & Curran
Strategy & Resources
- Develop the Equity strategy that supports the company’s Mission, Vision, and Values, including goals, timeframes, and responsibilities, in partnership with leadership. Strategy includes but is not limited to: Partnering with HR leaders and business leaders to develop strategies to attract and retain underrepresented applicants and employees and expand workforce complexity.
- Collaborate with leadership and HR teams to incorporate an equity lens into all aspects of the company's policies, practices, decision-making processes, and communications.
- Monitor and Evaluate Progress toward Goals: Identify and monitor appropriate measures of progress to assess the impact of equity initiatives and generate insights to inform future strategies.
- Report annually on the implementation and progress toward Equity Strategy goals; provide regular assessment of progress, barriers, and proposed improvements in implementing Equity Strategy.
- Lead and empower the ERGs to be catalysts for positive change, aligned with the Equity Strategy and building community.
- Establish, define, and structure the company’s equity resources in support of strategy.
- Lead and ensure the coordination of communications and activities of the equity resources.
- Prepare and manage annual equity budget items and track related expenses for approval, including recommending and managing charge codes as appropriate.
Communications
- Develop and manage an annual communications plan designed to maximize the internal and external impact of our commitment to Equity in partnership with Internal Communications and Marketing.
- Provide subject matter expertise and guidance as needed on sensitive equity topics.
- Develop and facilitate company-wide updates and progress on the Equity Strategy.
- Respond to external surveys, client requests, and RFPs related to demographics and equity strategy.
Compliance
- Responsible for the completion of annual Affirmative Action Plans, including preparing census data for external AAP consultants.
- Complete and submit annual Equal Employment Opportunity reports, including working with EEO consultant to maintain position map.
- Complete annual Veteran’s reporting.
- Responsible for developing and maintaining policies in the Equal Employment Opportunity section of the Employee Handbook in compliance with company, legal, and client needs.
