Responsibilities:

• Schedule customer shipments using routing guides and communicate with carriers to ensure timely pick up. Communicate and update daily warehouse shipment scheduling, and manage exceptions to the plan.

• Act as a liaison between our 3PL, CIC (customer service), and the warehouse, providing various support through SAP reporting, shipment track and trace, carrier communication, etc.

• Using SAP, ensure orders are processed timely, accurately, and completely.

• Produce and update reports to assist in managing the distribution function and to communicate status to other departments. Assist in preparation / publication of department KPIs.

• Procure spot pricing for domestic and international air and ocean shipments; expedite shipping and carrier invoice audit and approval.

• Manage inbound appointment scheduling as well as the ocean container delivery and return.

• Work cooperatively with external logistics providers for distribution management.

• Assist in tactical execution of a variety of warehouse, inventory and transportation functions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in business, logistics, or a related field preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.

• 2+ years of relevant transportation experience preferred. International transportation / freight forwarding experience a plus.

• Strong knowledge of MS Excel; experience with SAP/related ERP a plus.

• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a high paced environment, with a strong focus on teamwork.

• Must be well organized and able to manage large amounts of information, while remaining detail oriented.
