Construction Inspector

PRIME Construction Management & Survey, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of PRIME AE Group, a multi-faceted and rapidly growing architectural and engineering firm with 20 office locations and 475+ employees throughout the Midwest, Mid-Atlantic, and Southeast and Northeast areas, is seeking Infrastructure Construction Inspectors (road, bridge, water, sewer, utility, etc.) for infrastructure projects in the Central Ohio area. 

We are seeking all levels of inspectors from entry level to senior construction inspectors.

Position Overview:

The primary function of this role will be to assist in monitoring and inspecting infrastructure construction projects in the field.  

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform earthwork, concrete, structural, drainage, asphalt, water, sewer, utility, and materials inspections on construction projects. 
• Support project activities by performing calculations, measurements, documentation, and other technical and engineering-related functions. 
• Perform verification or acceptance testing of construction materials in the field or at the laboratory.   
• Correspond with impacted stakeholders.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements: 

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in construction inspection or construction material testing.
• Associates Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or other STEM degree preferred.  
• A valid drivers’ license.
• Basic understanding of construction specifications and processes.
• Other certifications such as ODOT, NICET, Asphalt, and American Concrete Institute (ACI) concrete field testing, etc. are preferred.  However, all necessary certifications and recertifications will be paid for by PRIME CM&S.
