Deputy Assistant Director for Policy

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For the GS-15, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience includes the following: - Assisting in managing and participating in the formulation, interpretation, and implementation of U.S. economic sanctions (as administered by Treasury/OFAC) policy papers and related memoranda with regard to the imposition of economic sanctions and trade embargoes delegated by Presidential authority; AND - Assisting in managing and working on teams that handle multiple projects for a major office or program issues of broad impact; AND - Performing work that involves analyses, program reviews, and development of cross-agency activities; AND - Assisting in the management of a policy team, including addressing administrative and process issues, identifying resource needs, and reviewing documents. TIME-IN-GRADE: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-15, you must have been at the GS-14 level for 52 weeks. The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
