Job Description

The Transportation Business Line of AECOM is actively seeking a high caliber Construction Manager for immediate employment in Denver, CO. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate a proven track record of successfully managing and performing quality activities for construction projects in the Denver area.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Provides guidance to employees within the latitude of established policies. 
• Establishes procedures that affect immediate organization. 
• Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including understanding of current business trends. 
• Acts as advisor to subordinates to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems. 
• May have budget responsibilities. 
• Erroneous decision or failure to achieve results adds to costs and may impact short-term goals of organization. 
• Oversees the administration of projects during the construction cycle including technical, financial, and client satisfaction.
• Accountable for the development, coordination, and execution of the planning, design and/or construction management activities and personnel under individual's direction on a day-to-day

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• BA/BS + 8 Years Of Relevant Experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
• Valid Driver’s License required

Preferred Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience with construction of highways/roads/bridges.
• Able to effectively communicate and negotiate with contractors and clients.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with Colorado highway/bridge construction and maintenance projects.
• Extensive knowledge of highway/bridge design, construction and material.
• Thorough knowledge of Caltrans specifications & construction contract administration procedures.
