About the role

The Sr Programmer - HCC will be responsible for programming and maintenance of the SFFA program to include planning and control, system design and code generation. Will also be responsible for proper testing procedures and documentation. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Responsible for maintenance, modifications and system enhancements for the SFFA system, an HCC proprietary system.
  • Analyzes production or testing problems and suggests corrections where required.
  • Codes and tests special software required by the association.
  • Research and remedies problems encountered by User Departments.
  • Tests new or modified software and analyzes results.
  • Prepares required documentation and production turnover.
  • Implements annual software upgrades along with a team.
  • Performs the Dollars monthend close of the current period and opening of the new period.
  • Assists the Accounting dept. and Business Segments with reporting needs derived from the SFFA system.
Other Responsibilities:
  • Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
  • Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
  • Comply with all regulations pertaining to BSA, USA PATRIOT ACT, and OFAC. Complete annual
  • BSA training. Report suspicions of criminal activity, or any attempt to avoid BSA reporting requirements on the part of customers or employees, to the AML/BSA.
  • Compliance Department. For supervisory positions, ensure BSA training requirements are completed by staff.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications Required Skills:
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common technical journals.
  • Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability.
  • Knowledge of PC based applications (Word, Excel).
  • Ability to prioritize and organize assignments.
Required Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED. Minimum of four years of experience in SFFA system design.
