The opportunity

Express is an all-in-one AI content creation app that empowers you to easily create standout content that promotes your ideas, passions, and business. As part of its focus on business users, Express is solving for on-brand content creation at scale, including through in-app experiences and APIs for automation as part of Adobe’s Firefly Services solution.

We’re hiring a Principal PM to help evolve Express into an API-first platform for Express, starting with automating content production at scale. In this role, you will own the vision, strategy, development, implementation, and growth of new services that empower brands and agencies to generate content at scale, and to create custom workflows for their employees and end customers.

As a PM on the Creative Cloud Platform and Ecosystem team, you'll be joining a multi-functional team that drives Creative Cloud's Developer Platform, ensuring a delightful experience for 3rd party developers. We do it all in service of delivering value through plugins, integrations, and bespoke solutions for customers and creative users around the world.

What you’ll do

  • Work closely with enterprise customers to deeply understand their business and problem space, creative needs, and the potential for APIs powered by Express to transform their workflows.

  • Spot risks, identify new opportunities, understand competitive landscapes and emerging trends, and communicate the implications - breaking insights down into pragmatic actions.

  • Set the short and long term API product strategy - define the vision, build the roadmap, partner with and secure commitments from dependent teams (including/especially GTM), and define and own objectives and key results.

  • Document detailed requirements, including functional specifications, APIs, data mappings, and experience guidelines.

  • Drive product planning and prioritization with Engineering, and design explorations in partnership with our Design team and key customers.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to design, deliver, and scale high-quality products, fast.

  • Define and monitor key performance indicators to evaluate success, using data to identify new opportunities.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices, and apply that knowledge to improve your product portfolio.

What you need to succeed

  • Validated technical leadership and experience in identifying and solving broad and sophisticated technical issues for customers.

  • 8+ years in platform product management in an API-first and/or developer-centric business.

  • Proven experience with platform architectures and client/service experiences.

  • A passion for working with developers, learning about new technologies, and evangelizing exciting developer tools.

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience working directly with tiered customer levels is a plus.

  • A GM attitude, with the ability to context switch across products, projects, and customers and own the outcome.
