You will be the Industrial Engineer (Early Career) for the Missiles and Fire Control production team. Our team is responsible for leading Industrial Engineering activities that analyze and improve processes, reduce costs, and drive decisions now and in the future.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Industrial Engineer (Early Career), you will be responsible for collaborating with a cross‑functional team to identify and implement process improvements in a production area.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Performing process observations and time studies to support cost analysis and improvement activities
- Using metrics, data tools, and visualization to analyze and identify cost, quality, and schedule drivers
- Planning and implementing facility layouts and workstation improvements
- Applying Lean Six Sigma tools and leading continuous improvement projects
- Utilizing discrete event simulation (e.g., Simio, FlexSim, ProSim, Arena) and capacity tools to evaluate current and future business needs
MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to start.

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Industrial Engineering, Engineering Technology, Engineering Management, or a similar Engineering discipline
• Experience working in a team-based environment, with a strong focus on collaboration and continuous improvement
• Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance. Lockheed Martin will assist selected candidate with obtaining at least an Interim Secret Clearance prior to starting. Additionally, the candidate must be able to pass a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (“ATF”) background check to obtain approval to be an “employee possessor” (of explosives or other ATF-regulated items) as defined by ATF regulations. Failure to obtain and retain employee possessor status may result in revocation of an offer and loss of employment.
Desired skills
• Experience in Industrial Engineering/Lean Six Sigma concepts, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment
• Experience with Discrete Event Simulation (Simio, Arena, FlexSim, ProSim)
• Data Analytics/Tableau/SQL/Python experience
• Experience using computer-aided design (CAD)
• Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
