Employment Type: This is a full-time, 12-month school-based position for the 2025-2026 school year.
Salary: Salary range is between $74,400-$85,600 and determined based on comparable leadership experience.

About the Role: Valor Collegiate Academies is seeking an exceptional Director of Operations who is excited to share our mission of empowering scholars to live inspired and purposeful lives. This position is for our Valor | Flagship campus.
The Director of Operations (DoO) is the operational leader of the school and reports to the Managing Director of Operations, Principal, and Chief Operating Officer. The DoO is an active member of the school leadership team that is lead by the Principal of the school. The DoO plays a critical role in establishing strong, long-term operational infrastructure that can effectively anticipate and serve the needs of our school community. The DoO collaborates closely with the Principal and network leaders to ensure that our non-instructional systems and campus facilities are built to last, and can fully support both scholar and faculty success. At Valor, our DoOs are service-oriented leaders and responsive problem solvers, who are deeply committed to leading their school in operational excellence.Key Responsibilities:
School Operations
- Lead all aspects of school operations, including but not limited to, food and transportation services, facility maintenance, emergency plans, school schedules, technology support, and student information database.
- Respond to staff support requests in a timely manner (e.g. facilities, classroom, technology, etc).
- Ensure school-wide compliance with health, safety, and school district regulations.
- Manage Office and Operations Coordinator to ensure smooth operation of the main office.
- Support school-based leaders to manage logistical aspects of student assessments, benchmark exams, and support the logistics of school-wide events.
Finance & Purchasing
- Collaborate with the Principal to create and oversee the school’s budget, finances, and relationships with outside vendors.
- Maintain inventory of equipment, office supplies, and instructional materials
- Manage purchase requests and procurement processes
- Process accounts payable items including invoices and expense reimbursements
- Improve systems for accounts receivable and vendor management.
Data & Scholar Information
- Develop a workflow for scholar information collection, analysis, and updates
- Organize elements of the enrollment, registration, and transfer/withdrawal processes
- Facilitate the creation and distribution of progress reports and report cards
- Draft reference and training materials for data systems
Enforce, uphold, and exhibit school’s values, student management policies and culture
Own arrival duty, recess or lunch duty, and dismissal duty
Attend school-wide professional development programming, including 3 weeks of faculty training over the summer and weekly PD sessions throughout the academic year
Participate in faculty Circle once a week (Wednesdays from 4:00-5:00p.m.)
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Prior school leadership, operations, or teaching experience in a high-performing school is highly preferred.
- Proven track-record of achievement in previous leadership positions.
- Ability to respond quickly and thoughtfully to safety and emergency situations.
- Strong planning, organizing and leadership/supervisory skills.
- Commitment to use data and technology to personalize development for both adults and scholars
- Commitment and enthusiasm for working with an ethnically and economically diverse student body.
- Grit and perseverance to work within a fast-paced, start-up environment.
