Technical Lead - OMS/EMS UIs, Equities Technology

We're looking for a hands-on Tech Lead to work on the UIs for our OMS/EMS which operate at the scale of equities trading seen at a bulge bracket investment bank. This is a global Tech Lead position and will cover both frontend and backend aspects of the UIs for this greenfield initiative.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect, design, and develop interfaces for our OMS/EMS software ensuring seamless user interaction and overall user experience.

• Serve as Senior Technical Lead with end-to-end responsibility for development and maintenance.

• Ensure the solution is scalable and up to the standards expected in large equities trading environments.

• Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.

• Collaborate with other team leads and stakeholders on software project progress and strategy.

Technical Requirements:

• Proven experience as a software developer with comprehensive hands-on experience.

• Expertise in modern frontend and backend technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS, ReactJS, VueJS, NodeJS, Python, Core Java, C++, KDB, etc.)

• Familiarity with equity trading OMS/EMS, having worked on systems within financial services, specifically investment banking or large hedge fund.

• Proven experience with database structure principles and SQL/NoSQL databases.

• Advanced understanding of software principles, theories, and concepts related to software engineering (including software development lifecycles and software development processes).

• Advanced understanding of real time streaming data

• Knowledge of high-performance and low-latency system design, including multi-threading and concurrency.

• Proficient with microservices and API-based architecture.

• Experience with data-intensive technologies and concepts such as Big Data and cloud technologies (GCP preferred) is a plus.

• Agile development and continuous delivery methodologies knowledge is a plus.

Millennium pays a total compensation package which includes a base salary, discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package. The estimated base salary range for this position is $175,000 to $250,000, which is specific to New York and may change in the future. When finalizing an offer, we take into consideration an individual’s experience level and the qualifications they bring to the role to formulate a competitive total compensation package.
