As the Global Business Process Manager for Period End Closing, you are part of the Roche Service & Solution Business Process Organization. In this role, you are responsible in the area of Period End Closing for the continuous global harmonization, standardization and automation, to fulfill external and internal requirements by using SmartClose as solution.
Your opportunity:
Due to the multi-layered nature of Financial Close, based in various transactional processes (e.g. D2P, MP2C, P2DP, etc.), a very strong collaboration with the other E2E processes for Finance and Procurement is essential.
In addition you will work in close collaboration with stakeholders from our RSS Business Lines. Your responsibilities comprise the following aspects:
- Acting as a Global Business Process Manager for Period End Closing, to govern changes to existing business processes and design new ones for the Finance organizations as well as with other GBPOs and GBPMs to reach alignment across the End to End processes
- Leading the PEC Governance board that consists out of different representatives from E2E Process Governance and Business
- Working closely together with the RSS Business Lines to drive and support process automation wherever possible
- Ensuring monitoring and optimization of business processes with regards to efficiency and effectiveness
- The position may involve a fair amount of travel (up to 15%)
Who you are:
You have a degree in Business, Finance, or related field and 5-7 years of experience in Finance, with a strong focus on Period End Closing. You bring also International or global/corporate experience and proven track record in supporting global projects (preferably transformational of nature) and cross functional teams. You also bring the following skills and competencies:
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills; experience in identifying and leading change initiatives and proven track record of effective decision making
- Strong influencing skills and ability to work in complex global networks with international teams and stakeholder communities
- Application experience in ERP SAP FI/CO is a must
- Experience with Blackline SmartClose automation is a big plus
- Strong presentations skills as well as written and verbal communication skills in English is a must
