UC Health is hiring a Pharmacist Manager for the Clinical Ambulatory Pharmacy Department at the University of Cincinnati’s Medical Center. 

The System Pharmacy Manager works across the health system to manage, develop, and execute the professional, operational, regulatory, and fiscal functions of pharmaceutical care in concert with the continuum of care delivery for UC Health patients. In representation of oneself and the organization, the System Pharmacy Manager leverages techniques and skills identified as the UC Health Leadership Competencies to support departmental and organizational missions, visions, and values.

Leadership:
•   Provides leadership to ensure long term goals of the pharmacy division as well as annual objectives are met within the scope of their responsibilities.
•   Provides tactical alignment execution of initiatives across the department, including perspectives from each entity to ensure inclusiveness. 
•   Works with pharmacy department leadership, physicians, pharmacy associates, and other departments to create a culture of trust, collaboration, and high alignment within the organization, resulting in the highest quality of care to patients.

Operations:
•   Manage, coordinate, and direct operational and patient care related activities across the health system in accordance with UC Health system policies and procedures.

•   Participate in cross coverage and/or the “on call” rotation among pharmacy departmental leaders where needed.
•   Assume responsibilities for other system pharmacy administrative personnel during temporary or planned absences.

•   Oversees, in conjunction with Pharmacy Department leadership and IT, all aspects of informatics and information technology functions within their area of oversight.

Medical Staff Relations: 
•   Establishes communication plan for engaging physician leaders in department planning, evaluation, and performance.  
•   Engages medical staff in planning and evaluation of services. 
•   Involves physicians in service and quality issues resolution. 
•   Ensures physician leaders have information, data, and other tools to support and assist them in their roles. 

Planning & Business Development: 
•   Participates in pharmacy division strategic planning.
•   Oversees project management from business decision stage through final implementation.
•   Develops program specific business and marketing plans, evaluating competition, market, potential revenue, costs, and operational implications to ensure continued market growth.
