<p><a rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener"></a><strong>Deadline Date: </strong>Monday 19 June 2023</p> <p><strong>Requirement: </strong>Senior Engineer (Deployable CIS)</p> <p><strong>Location: </strong>Braine L'Alleud, BE</p> <p><strong>Full time on-site</strong>: Yes</p> <p><strong>Time On-Site: </strong>100%</p> <p><strong>NATO Grade: </strong>G17/78</p> <p><strong>Total Scope of the request</strong> (hours): 836</p> <p><strong>Required Start Date: </strong>17 July 2023</p> <p><strong>End Contract Date:</strong> 31 December 2023</p> <p><strong>Required Security Clearance: NATO SECRET<br/></strong></p><p><strong>NOTE: </strong>Previous candidate lacked engineer/tech lead experience or background; technician profile - does not match the job requirements</p> <p><strong>Duties and Role: </strong></p> <p>Under the direction of the Principal Technical Lead, but largely under own initiative, the incumbent will perform duties such as the following:</p> <ul> <li>Assist the Project Technical Lead for projects delivering Deployable CIS Capabilities and other CIS for Operations and Exercises; being responsible for developing the Technical solution by drafting Project Proposals and Service/Systems Requirements Specifications as well as supervising the project implementation of the technical solution.</li> <li>Under the role of the Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for the preparation of technical specifications, in the evaluation of bidders proposals and the testing and acceptance of systems;</li> <li>Guiding and directing multidisciplinary technical teams on compliance, standardisation and coherence of services and products;</li> <li>Serves as recognised Subject Matter Expert (SME) and advisor to customers and potential customers on technical matters related to the Operational CIS capabilities with focus on deployable CIS, analysing user requirements and translating them into technical solutions;</li> <li>Works collaboratively with Technology Partners in developing business solutions and endorsing new technologies;</li> <li>Maintains and develops knowledge in relation to the intellectual competencies specified above;</li> <li>Gives scientific briefings and presentations; writes and/or reviews scientific papers and articles for publication;</li> <li>Plans, prepares and, where required, hosts formal and informal visits and meetings with representatives of military, civilian and industrial organisations;</li> <li>Represents the Agency, as directed, in NATO-related committees, working groups and panels, seminars, workshops, etc.;</li> <li>Deputize for higher grade staff, if required;</li> <li>Performs any other duties as may be required.</li> </ul> <p>The incumbent is responsible for:</p> <ul> <li>Maintaining liaison with the Service Line Architects, Service Area Architects and other Agency Architects to ensure the integrity and coherence of technologies with the wider NATO C3 systems and capabilities;</li> <li>Maintaining a close relationship with the appropriate levels of NATO entities involved in NATO C4ISR processes;</li> <li>Maintaining contact as required with representatives of industrial organisations within the NATO nations;</li> <li>Liaison as required with national organisations with related roles and responsibilities in system implementation and acquisition. </li> </ul> <p>The incumbent will report to the Operational CIS Service Owner and will supervise, administer and give professional guidance to staff.</p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><strong>Skill, Knowledge &amp; Experience:</strong> <ul> <li>The candidate must have a currently active NATO SECRET security clearance</li> <li>The candidate must be eligible for CTS Clearance as this may be required later</li> <li>A minimum requirement of a Bachelor's degree at a nationally recognised/certified University in a related discipline and 3 years post-related experience.</li> <li>Or exceptionally, the lack of a university degree may be compensated by the demonstration of a candidate's particular abilities or experience that is/are of interest to NCI Agency, that is, at least 10 years extensive and progressive expertise in duties related to the function of the post.</li> <li>Multidisciplinary experience in planning, design, system engineering and implementation of large and complex C4ISR systems;</li> <li>Experience covering at least four of the following technologies and disciplines:<ul> <li>Modern digital communication networking techniques, protocols and standards; communication networks specification, design and testing, with an emphasis on IP networks, including IPv6 ,QoS, SD-WAN;</li> <li>Core Services and their realization in Enterprise wide networks (i.e. Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, DNS, Microsoft SharePoint and Skype for Business)</li> <li>Infrastructure hosting, storage, Networking and associated virtualization technologies (i.e. VMware vCloud Foundation, VMWare NSX-T, vSAN, Microsoft Azure Stack).</li> <li>Management and Monitoring
