You can have an informal meeting in the treehouse or play the piano in your lunch break!<br/>THE ROLEThe Senior Manager of Inbound transportation will join the Delivery team within the Logistics department, reporting to the Director of Deliver Operations. You will be an essential player in our mission to provide an unrivalled experience to our customers all around the world. You will lead a large team and work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders across the business.
<h3>WHAT YOU'LL DO</h3>
<ul>
<li>You will be responsible for the B2B inbound stock movements via Sea, air or road, from the suppliers to our warehouses including identifying and selecting the adequate logistic partners, negotiating and maintaining the relationships with them by continuously evaluating cost and performance.</li><li>You will manage a team who will be working with the suppliers, buying and warehouse teams and transport partners, in order to select the most adequate transport mode to optimize costs and delivery schedules as well as manage the day-to-day operations to ensure the compliance of the stock movements for a smooth and timely inbound operation.</li><li>You will hire, train, develop, inspire and motivate your team members in order to enhance their skills, knowledge and overall team performance and effectiveness. This entails delegating tasks, providing feedback, resolving conflicts, and fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.</li><li>You will promote and advocate for a continuous improvement mindset and will continuously develop your team to adapt to a fast-paced and continuously evolving environment.</li><li>You will have a performance management approach, with a strong emphasis on key performance indicators such as lead times, cost per shipment and any others in order to identify opportunities for process improvement or cost reduction and meet the overall company goals.</li><li>You will have a strong focus on delivering against project timelines and service KPIs and will apply that in your approach to manage priorities within the team and with external suppliers. </li><li>You will collaborate with other internal stakeholders and use your experience in supplier and team management to solve complex problems in a fast-paced environment in order to achieve operational excellence and meet the customer’s promise.</li></ul>
<h3>WHO YOU ARE</h3>
<ul>
<li>You have at least 5 years of experience in a management role in an operations environment preferably involving suppliers relationships and team coordination. </li><li>You have a strong understanding of transportation processes, including documentation, customs regulations, cargo handling, container management, etc. and sound knowledge of international trade regulations, customs requirements, and industry compliance standards. </li><li>You have good financial acumen in order to monitor financial performance, analyze freight rates, negotiate contracts with carriers and vendors, and identify opportunities for cost savings. You are focused in results and have a performance-oriented mindset with ability to prioritize effectively and in alignment with the overall company strategy and KPIs, in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment You have strong people skills and you are able to promote high levels of trust, enthusiasm and commitment. You have your team’s development, well-being and happiness in the workplace on the top of your priorities alongside the company’s operational and financial performance.
