Responsibilities

At Enhabit Hospice, our nurses must be capable of compassionate communication with patients and families, have keen observation skills, high ethical standards, and knowledge of when to alert doctors and others about changes in patients' conditions. 

 

Our RNs work with patients, their families, and other health care professionals during the final stages of patients' lives.  Our RNs will work in private homes, residential care facilities, nursing centers, and other hospice care environments.

 

Responsibilities include:

• Provide coordination of care
• Implement the interdisciplinary care plan
• Ensure continuous assessment of each patient's and family's needs
• Perform services in accordance with the physician’s orders and the established plan of care
• Ensure delivery of care is compliant with the federal and state regulations

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an approved school of clinical education.
• Must be  a Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in the state where they currently practice.
• Must have at least one year experience as a licensed professional.
• Experience as a licensed professional may be deferred with a review and approval from the regional and executive service line clinical leadership.
• Medicare home health or hospice experience is preferred.
• Must possess a valid state driver license
• Must maintain automobile liability insurance as required by law
• Must maintain dependable transportation in good working condition
• Must be able to safely drive an automobile in all types of weather conditions
• Must possess CPR certification for the healthcare provider
