WHAT YOU’LL DO:
As the Lead, IT Network Engineering, you will oversee the design, implementation, and management of the company’s global network infrastructure. You will ensure high availability, scalability, and security while leading a team of network engineers to deliver robust networking solutions. This role is critical in maintaining the operational excellence of our IT network systems and services across the organization.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced network engineering leader with a strong technical background and proven leadership capabilities. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in network design, implementation, and troubleshooting, as well as experience managing a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Network Design and Implementation:
- Develop and implement strategies for network architecture, including LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VPNs, and cloud connectivity.
- Lead the design and deployment of new networking technologies to enhance system performance and reliability.
- Team Leadership:
- Manage, mentor, and guide a team of network engineers, fostering collaboration and skill development.
- Coordinate team activities to ensure alignment with business priorities and project timelines.
- Network Operations and Troubleshooting:
- Monitor and maintain network performance and availability using advanced tools.
- Identify and resolve complex network issues, including root cause analysis and preventive measures.
- Security and Compliance:
- Implement and enforce network security protocols to protect against vulnerabilities and threats.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Vendor Management:
- Collaborate with third-party vendors and service providers to evaluate and procure networking solutions.
- Manage vendor relationships to ensure optimal performance and service delivery.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and processes.
- Provide regular reports on network performance, incidents, and projects to senior management.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
- Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Technical Expertise:
- Deep knowledge of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS).
- Proficiency in configuring and managing routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers (e.g., Cisco, Palo Alto, Juniper).
- Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and SD-WAN technologies.
- Certifications:
- Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent are highly preferred.
