Job Description

About: Seeking a part-time, dedicated and experienced Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our Primary Care/Occupational Health team based at the Horry County Wellness Center in Conway, South Carolina. This health center provides primary care, occupational medicine to employees, retirees and dependents with 3600 members. The APP will primarily provide on-site primary and occupational healthcare services to the employees and their dependents. The role is office-based, offering a consistent outpatient schedule within an employer-supported clinic environment with access to specialty and sub-specialty care. This role involves direct patient care, collaboration with healthcare professionals, and contribution to the development of health partnerships within the industry setting.

Required Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program with current licensure or eligibility for licensure in South Carolina.

  • AGPNP/ANP (Adult Gerontology Primary Care NP or Adult NP): Adult pts (13 years to death), stable chronic disease state management or primary care setting.

  • FNP (Family NP): (birth to death) Stable chronic disease state management, primary care across the lifespan.

  • Currently licensed (or eligible) in the state of South Carolina as a Physician Assistant by the South Carolina Board of Medical Examiners or as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with the SC Board of Nursing.

  • APRN or PA must maintain licenses, certifications, CNEs/CMEs, etc. as required by applicable policies and state law.

  • DHEC and DEA license

  • Basic Life Support (BLS)

  • DOT Certification (or willing to obtain prior to start)

  • Experience in an occupational health and/or primary care setting

  • Highly encourage Veterans to apply

Position Highlights:

  • Part-Time Hours are three 8-hour shifts per week, M-F

  • Patient Population: Outpatient (13 years – death)

  • Evaluates and treats on the basis of history, physical examination, radiological, laboratory, and other diagnostic test results pursuant to the practice agreement or scope of practice guideline

  • Initiates referrals to other health care provides, and/or consults with the attending physician or the collaborating physician

  • Documents and bills for direct care provided

  • Potential to precept students at MUSC enrolled as an advanced practice provider student; and facilitates the learning of other new team members

  • Takes comprehensive history and performs physical examinations

  • Evaluates and treats on the basis of history, physical examination, radiological, laboratory, and other diagnostic test results pursuant to the practice agreement or scope of practice guideline

  • Performs the following therapeutic procedures in accordance with procedural privileges, skill and proficienc
