Job Description

This position is responsible for performing various production tasks with quality, and in a safe, economical, and technically feasible manner.  As part of the daily operating team, the Production Specialist will serve as an anchor position and technology expert within the organization to provide continuity for the production engineers and staff. Maintenance Technician is a maintenance management philosophy that strives for – no breakdowns, no defects, no accidents by positioning maintenance as a core value-added function. 

EHS:

• Support and role model EHS activities and processes
• Provide technical and leadership support in root cause failure analysis for EHS incidents

Production Execution:

• Monitor and provide guidance for the achievement of plant goals, objectives, and operational budgets
• Ensure that process procedures and control plans are properly documented and current.
• Interface with suppliers, customers, and vendors as needed to maintain plant operations
• Participate in micro / finite production planning & scheduling
• Ensure proper documentation of operating files, records, and operation drawings
• Provide technical and administrative support to operations, maintenance, and the business in support of the production plan
• Provide technical and leadership support in root cause failure analysis for production and quality incidents
• Provide troubleshooting assistance and knowledge transfer for troubleshooting assistance to the Daily Production Execution team

Maintenance Support:

• Set priorities for equipment repairs and ensure equipment is prepared for scheduled maintenance.
• Assist with daily operations and provide guidance on continuous improvement initiatives.
• Act as the main point of contact to ensure production facility work is completed correctly, on time, and cost-effectively.
• Serve as the leader for implementing Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) programs.

Process Optimization:

• Provide technical and leadership support to the Technology Group for plant trials.
• Act as the manufacturing representative for projects.

Administrative:

• Review and verify production data and reports.
• Coordinate scheduling for shipments, including products, co-products, and waste.
• Collaborate with the production manager to set goals and oversee the performance of shift workers and supervisors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or 10 years manufacturing experience
