As we transform our business and pursue our premiumization strategy, we seek an experienced Corporate Communications leader to oversee a central global team of internal communications professionals.  This person will oversee day-to-day corporate internal communications and support key c-suite leadership to develop and execute communications strategies that engage and inform employees around the world in our business, our brands, and our strategies and goals. 
 

The Sr. Director will work closely with colleagues in other regions and business units, especially the Regional Communications Directors, as well as the Sr. Director of Corporate Brand and External Communications.  This seasoned communications leader will serve as a thought partner to the Chief Communications Officer and be part of the Communications and Brand PR Leadership Team.   The Sr. Director will also support communications for the Chief People, Culture and Communications Officer and other c-suite leaders to help them communicate authentically with their teams. 
 

As an organization undergoing a transformation with an aspiration to become the World’s Most Admired Premium Spirits Company, this role will play a key role in leading effective change management communications within the organization. 

Role Responsibilities

  • Direct strategic development and oversee implementation of high-impact internal communications strategies to further Beam Suntory’s strong culture and promote understanding and engagement among all employees globally.
  • Ensure consistency of message across internal channels, working in collaboration with other business areas as needed. 
  • Provide day-to-day communications support directly for the Chief People, Culture and Communications Officer including functional town halls, team and organizational communications, etc.
  • Advise, support, train and prepare c-suite leaders on internal communications messaging, strategies and tactics that support business goals.
  • Create and manage measurement and evaluation processes and tools for communications programs.
  • Work with Brand PR colleagues to ensure brand stories and activities are communicated to employees internally.
  • Work closely with Suntory Holdings team to ensure global Suntory Group messaging is incorporated into Beam Suntory Communications.
  • Manage team of 3-4 direct reports, building engagement, career pathing and development among team.

Qualifications

  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills and you are able to take complex concepts and turn them into digestible messages for key audiences.

  • You have experience working effectively with c-suite leadership to support communications programs that help meet business goals.

  • You are highly collaborative leader with experience working in cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects at once.

  • You are resilient and have experience successfully navigating in ambiguous situations and you thrive in a rapid-paced, constantly changing environment.

  • You are an experienced people manager who understands how to engage and motivate a high performing team.

  • You have a demonstrated experience influencing and working in a matrixed organizational structure.

  • You have a minimum of 10 years corporate communications experience, successfully developing and executing internal communications programs with proven results.

  • You have 10-12 years’ experience, and preferably a Bachelor’s Degree in business, public relations, journalism or related discipline.
