Optometrist
Location: Community Vision Center - Easton / Allentown, PA
Job Summary: The Optometrist will be responsible for the care, direction, and progression of patient care in the area of general Optometry in the outpatient setting of the Community Vision Center within Valley Health Partners Community Health Center (VHP). Responsible for offering high quality eye and vision care with thorough examination and comprehensive treatments. Conducts eye exams using optometric equipment and general diagnostic interpretation. Diagnoses and treats ocular disease. Prescribes, fits, and adjusts eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other vision aids. Directs staff and assists in the development of the overall practice.
Minimum qualifications: Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry program.
Preferred qualifications: Two years’ of optometrist experience, preferred. More than two years’ of optometrist experience in a medically needed and underserved community in a Community Health Center or Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), preferred.

Training: Board Certification in Optometry
Licensure / Certifications: Current PA Optometry license. Willingness to obtain CPR Certification upon hire.
