Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Controller, the Senior Accountant is responsible for the supervision, orientation, and training of department personnel and assists the Controller in monitoring and identifying weaknesses in internal controls. Responsible for meeting deadlines for the monthly closing of books, income tax reports and other reporting as required. Oversees the financial operations and reporting of the Medical Office Building joint ventures. Coordinates the preparation of assigned journal entries; reconciles assigned balance sheet accounts; assists with coordination for financial and retirement audits; prepares required audit related schedules, and other duties as assigned. Coordinates all regulatory tax filings and ensure timely filing with appropriate agencies. Responsible for preparing and monitoring productivity reports, as well as communication and education of management team.
Qualifications
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING 1. Bachelor degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent required 2. Four to Six (4-6) years hospital/healthcare accounting/finance experience preferred 3. Proficient in business software applications 4. Working knowledge of windows based personal computers 5. Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, and prioritization skills 6. Current CPA Preferred
