Insight's Mgr. IT will take on a pivotal role in managing a skilled technical team, focused on generative AI, fostering an environment of innovation, and driving exceptional performance. As our Mgr. IT, you will oversee the deployment of deliverables, ensuring that they follow our team's published standards and are completed within set timelines. You will play a key role in establishing and leading a team of highly skilled technical experts while being responsible for introducing, maintaining, and optimizing processes that guarantee maximum efficiency and reliability. Your expertise in applications programming, system design and update, storage and retrieval methods, application performance optimization, system administration, database administration, system architecture, generative AI, and security administration, will be critical as you make high-level decisions that will shape the company's overall success. Key Responsibilities
- Strong command of a variety of technical areas, including applications programming, system design and update, storage and retrieval methods, application performance optimization, system administration, database administration, system architecture, generative AI, development best practices, and security administration.
- Ability to manage complex system administration and/or development.
- Ability to manage function and maintenance of at least one major subsystem.
- Ability to participate in cross-functional design and development efforts to ensure optimal end-to-end solutions.
- Ability to foster the technical community concept, defining disciplines and collaborative standards.
- Ability to provide mentoring and career planning and promote employee satisfaction.
- Ability to define and promote standards for coding, testing, deployment to production.
- Ability to define and ensure compliance of standards for building systems and configuring operating systems.
- Ability to define and ensure security compliance.
- Ability to support published business Service Level Agreements.
- Ability to provide guidance to technical team and clarify project scope and objectives.
- Ability to direct revision of existing programs and/or infrastructure components to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements.
- Ability to prepare proposals and reports as needed for senior management.
What you'll need to succeed:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, Master's degree preferred.
- At least 4 years of business experience in the relevant area.
- At least 4 years of technical experience in relevant disciplines.
- Strong knowledge of relevant technologies.
- Understanding of Insight-sponsored management methodologies.
- Strong understanding of business rules for key business functions.
- Strong understanding of industry-standard technical practices and emerging technologies.
- Able to perform well in a multi-tasking environment.
- Strong managerial and supervisory skills.
- Complies with Insight standard code of conduct and treats sensitive employee situations discretely and confidentially.
