Banquet Lead Server

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Oversee all banquet functions
• Check side work
• Assist in coaching of team members
• Approach all encounters with guest and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner
• Effectively manage time
• Assists banquet supervisor in activities relating to banquet department
• Display knowledge of food preparation and service
• Set up banquet rooms for functions
• Know basic bar terminology and wine service
• Know food preparation and service
• Display knowledge of opening and closing procedures
• Comply at all times with QBR&C standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient resort operations
• Maintain a neat and organized work area

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: (*Constantly, Frequently, Occasionally) While performing these job duties, the employee is regularly required to:

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs
• Able to be on feet for long periods of time

Required:

• Two years banquet experience and/or one year food & beverage supervising.
• Knowledge of banquet set ups
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Meet minimum age requirement of jurisdiction
• Liquor intoxication control training
• Good communication skills with workers
• Must have ability to work all kinds of functions
• Ability to meet deadlines as required
• Adjust to schedule changes and cover shifts on short notice

Preferred: 

• Servsafe training
• CPR certification
