Job Description

What you get to do in this role:  

• Manage software sourcing initiatives from opportunity assessment to contract execution as an individual contributor on the Software Sourcing Team
• Ensure sourcing serves as a critical enabler and value add to the business, while managing to budgetary and operational targets
• Manage, advise, and engage in the sourcing and contracting processes including evaluating, negotiating, redlining, and entering contracts or renewing relationships with Software/SaaS, Software Maintenance, and support suppliers
• Identify, evaluate, and implement sourcing industry trends to advance company strategic sourcing excellence
• Strengthen partnerships with business functions across the company to provide valuable consultation.
• Develop a strong strategic advisor/partner relationship with the legal function to ensure best in class contracting practices are in place globally
• Conduct and facilitate RFx processes where appropriate, e.g. RFI, RFP, RFQ, including TCO modeling of RFx proposals, presenting results to stakeholders, and driving to closure on a decision
• Benchmark suppliers and trends, create category strategies, monitor strategic supplier performance, and enable the business to be informed decision makers

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you have:

• 5+ years of experience in technology sourcing with a focus on Software in a high growth, dynamic environment
• Demonstrated experience working with industry leading software suppliers
• Have exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to cultivate and maintain strong internal and external relationships at all levels
• Excellent organization and time management skills to oversee simultaneously occurring projects, tasks, and deadlines
• Be a proven creative thinker with a problem-solving approach
• Working knowledge of sourcing processes, methodologies, and approaches
• Exhibit strong analytical, conceptual thinking, strategic planning, and execution skills
• Have an excellent track record of establishing relationships, influencing, and negotiating competing priorities among business partners
• Can-do mentality and ability to work independently
• Proficiency in productivity software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

FD21

For positions in California (outside of the Bay Area), we offer a base pay of $92,250 - $161,550, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location. We also offer health plans, including flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, matching donations, a flexible time away plan and family leave programs.  Compensation is based on the geographic location in which the role is located, and is subject to change based on work location. For individuals who will be working in the Bay Area, the
