Job Summary

The Quality Assurance Coordinator supports the organization’s quality program by reviewing supplier documentation, maintaining calibration processes, and assisting with audits, supplier development, and non‑conformance activities. The role also contributes to procedure maintenance, participates in EHS initiatives, and upholds company policies and standards. Success in this position requires strong communication and organizational skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office and SAP, the ability to use basic M&TE, and a basic understanding of quality procedures, specifications, and industry codes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Conduct receipt‑inspection documentation reviews to verify supplier compliance with purchase order requirements and the Approved Vendor List (AVL).
  • Maintain and continuously improve the calibration program, with a focus on cost reduction and minimizing M&TE downtime during external calibration.
  • Assist with the preparation, compilation, and maintenance of documentation required to meet Customer Purchase Order specifications.
  • Support the development, revision, and maintenance of Quality Assurance procedures
  • Participate in Commercial Grade Surveys and Audits.
  • Assist in Supplier Development activities to strengthen supplier performance and compliance.
  • Support the management and execution of the Non‑Conformance and Corrective Action program.
  • Support, cooperate with, and actively participate in the EHS Management System by following all safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Assist with the review, interpretation, and implementation of Sulzer procedures.
  • Adhere to all company and departmental policies, procedures, and performance standards.
  • Perform additional duties assigned to support departmental and organizational needs.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, solid organizational abilities, and a demonstrated commitment to integrity and ethical conduct.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and SAP systems.
  • Ability to use basic Measuring and Test Equipment; including micrometers, calipers, and similar tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret procedures and specifications; identify issues; collect and analyze data; and draw sound, fact‑based conclusions.
  • Basic knowledge of ASME, ASTM, AWS, and related industry codes (preferred).
  • Basic understanding of NDE methods such as UT, PT, MT, VT, and RT (preferred).
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining accurate and thorough records.
