Fishers YMCA - Youth Sports Assistant Program Instructor

The Assistant Program Instructor will be primarily responsible for providing quality assistance and support to sports programs and events, while maintaining a safe, non-competitive environment for YMCA participants/members.

• No previous experience required.
• Must be a minimum of 16 years of age and have a means of transportation.
• Ability to communicate effectively with sports coaches, staff and parents of youth sports participants.
• Must have organizational and human relations skills in order to provide adequate support to sports programs.
• Must possess/acquire knowledge of all aspects of the particular sports league.
• Basic knowledge of the phases of physical education for all age groups served.
• Visually inspect participation space and equipment for safety.
• Current certifications in First Aid, Safety & Risk Management, Child Abuse Prevention and New Employee Orientation or the ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.
