What We Need:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dynamic Senior Accounting Analyst to join our Accounting team. This role is central to our administrative expense team. You will be responsible for recording various administrative expenses while working in a team environment. This position offers a unique opportunity to work across various business areas and contribute to the monthly financial statement close process to ensure accuracy and completeness.

This role is eligible for our Flex Persona. For candidates local to our Boston, MA and Hingham MA offices.

Your Day to Day

  • Oversee the integrity of the administrative expense cycle which involves supervising the workflow of journal entries from various operational departments to ensure the month-end ledger is both accurate and closed within established company deadlines.
  • Serve as the primary accounting liaison for HR and Payroll that requires an understanding of how payroll data from ADP integrates into the General Ledger, including the reconciliation of complex employee benefit accounts and related accruals.
  • Collaborate with business and operational teams to ensure all administrative services and goods received are properly accrued at month-end which includes reconciling complex accrual schedules and variance analysis.
  • Ensure that administrative expense activities including prepaids and accruals adhere to GAAP and STAT requirements.
  • Provide critical support in the recording, depreciation and reconciliation of capitalized administrative assets.
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations utilizing Blackline which includes performing account certifications, identifying reconciling items and ensure that all balances are fully supported by granular subledger data and third-party documentation.
  • Support in preparation and delivery of Financial Audit requests, ensuring that all administrative expenses and accrual data is transparent, well-documented, and readily accessible for review.

We’re Looking for:

  • Experience with administrative expenses based on both Statutory and GAAP principles.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • The ability to work independently
  • Proven ability to manage and analyze large datasets to identify business trends and derive sound solutions.
  • A results-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Word and  Oracle applications, data warehouses, and reporting tools like IBM Cognos Analytics or Oracle Smart View.
  • Deadline driven to meet monthly close requirements

What You Bring:

  • BA/BS Degree in Accounting required
  • Strong work ethic
  • 2-3 years of experience in Accounting
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Excel and Financial Data Analysis
  • Strong communication and organizational skills

This job is also eligible for variable pay.
