VAT Senior Specialist

<p><br/><b><span>Job Description:</span></b></p><h3><b>Position Summary</b> - We are looking for a skilled VAT Senior Specialist with strong aspiration to develop into VAT compliance technology role. The candidate will initially focus on VAT compliance, with transition into more technical responsibilities related to ERP systems withing 3-6 months. This role requires a proactive individual who is keen on leveraging technology to enhance VAT compliance process and support the team in various VAT related functions.</h3><p></p><p><b>Job Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li><h3>Responsible for VAT determination logic changes for respective ERPs (e.g. SAP, Oracle, etc.).</h3></li><li><h3>Oversee and perform maintenance of VAT rates/tax codes, matrix tables and their regular clean-up.</h3></li><li><h3>Perform Product and Customer Master Data maintenance with regular country reviews addressed together with the VAT Compliance and Advisory Manager.</h3></li><li><h3>Responsible for review and assessment of implemented new products in ERP systems from VAT perspective.</h3></li><li><h3>Participate and potentially lead other VAT-related data clean-up efforts.</h3></li><li><h3>Assist in designing and executing VAT-related test-plans/scripts for new business flows.</h3></li><li><h3>Work collaboratively with SAP/Oracle developers on ERP system configuration activities – this includes building, testing, validation, and documentation of system changes as well as training the end-users.</h3></li><li><h3>Documenting, analyzing and drawing recommendations on improving performance of current end-to-end VAT processes.</h3></li><li><h3>Responsible for VAT related reporting including implementation and testing of additional VAT reporting, correcting errors, and ensuring compliance with EMEA VAT requirements.</h3></li><li><h3>Provide day to day end user support and act as primary VAT point of contact for issues related to ERP system and other indirect tax systems.</h3></li></ul><p></p><p></p><p>This Job is also suitable for persons with disabilities; attendance required – disabled-accessible building.</p><p></p><p></p><p><span>#LI-PG1</span></p><p></p><p><b><span>Job Requirements:</span></b></p><p><b>Experience:</b></p><ul><li><h3>5-7 years' experience, minimum 3 years in a multinational corporation or global advisory firm, Big 4 preferred.</h3></li><li><h3>Strong ERP (SAP/Oracle) and other systems knowledge related to the process.</h3></li></ul><p></p><p><b><span>Skills/Knowledge:</span></b></p><h3><span><span>·<span><span>      </span> </span></span></span><span>Excellent working knowledge of indirect tax compliance processes, from data extraction to return submission.
