Transportation Logistics Analyst -Domestic

The Role: As the Transportation Logistics Analyst, reporting to the Sr. Delivery Service Manager, Americas, you will be responsible to serve as an escalation point for logistics related items for assigned modes. Additionally, you will Oversee and support logistics execution and suppliers’ performance as well as support Procurement Manager in coordinating regional requirements management, assist in Spot Quotes and supports carrier management activities to support cost and service needs of business.  

How You Will Make an Impact:

•    Implement logistics strategies in alignment with defined guidelines.
•    Monitor fuel surcharges, assess accessorial trends, and support bid processes and carrier rate negotiations. 
•    Contributes to carrier implementation/ onboarding; monitoring carrier via KPI’s/scorecards; auditing carrier; perform carrier stratification/classification.
•    Partner with Supply Chain, Procurement, and Customer Service teams to align transportation solutions with business objectives.
•    Analyzes cost to serve against estimated costs; works with logistics area owners and business units to address
•    Manage freight claim processes and support root cause investigations for service failures.
•    Provides spot quotes for assigned categories.
•    Collaborate with Procurement and Customer Service teams to ensure customer requirements and vendor shipping terms are met.
•    Work with cross functional team (including 3rd Supplier) to improve logistics execution and to help deliver domestic annual cost savings objectives.
•    Coordinate transportation requirements for warehouse shipments, including drop trailer programs, live loads, and time-sensitive freight.
•    Utilize SAP to create and process shipping documents (delivery notes, shipment creation, goods issue, etc.).
•    Schedule and monitor outbound shipments to ensure on-time delivery, communicating proactively with carriers, warehouses, and customers.
•    Support inventory accuracy and warehouse throughput by resolving shipping discrepancies, damaged freight, or misrouted deliveries.
•    Support projects, cross-functional back up and site activities as required

Creating Extraordinary Starts With:

• Bachelor’s in Business of Supply Chain (or similar; or equivalent work experience)
• Minimum of 5 years of supply chain or logistics experience preferred
• Supply Chain background a plus (planning/S&OP, service provider management, process/data management)
• Strong user knowledge in MS-Outlook, MS-Excel, MS-Word, SharePoint, ERP system
