The Systems Integration & Test: Environments Center includes all the engineering disciplines responsible for systems design & test on all Raytheon products. Our engineers are responsible for all elements of the development lifecycle for test including test requirements, test system design, flight simulations, hardware-in-the-loop, computer-in-the-loop, advanced engineering prototyping technology, flight operations for manned and unmanned vehicles, environmental testing, environmental characterization, and engineering laboratory management. We are hands-on, designing with the latest technology and tools, and integrate state of the art test solutions with the most advanced engineering systems in the world.
Raytheon is seeking an Engineering Services Specialist to provide support for our engineering labs. The position will assist engineering lab management and programs to ensure the equipment, services and suppliers are available to support customers targeted deliverable timelines, and other duties as assigned. There will be daily interaction between lab management, programs, quality, supply chain, logistics, operations and facilities to perform the support needed for services and our current asset base. Additional duties will include assisting lab management in maintaining the run rules and applicable Raytheon policies within the labs, ensuring compliance with safety, quality controls, foreign object debris (FOD)/foreign object elimination (FOE)programs, equipment calibration, repairs, rentals, property controls, electrostatic sensitive device controls (ESD), housekeeping, shelf-life controls, chemicals, preventative maintenance and maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) support.
This position is an onsite role in McKinney Texas and will primarily support Texas but will also perform backup and overflow support duties of specialist workloads from other states that are part of the Systems Integration & Test: Environments Center.
This position supports the ESAT Team (Engineering Services and Technology) and will be based out of McKinney Texas. This person will join a team that is supporting engineering services across all of our labs across the country today. As part of the team, responsibilities will include supporting activities to maintain the posture of compliance requirements regarding safety, security, process, and procedures. The role will require daily collaboration between engineering, operations, supply chain, quality, logistics, property and environmental health and safety to keep help keep our labs compliant and capable to cover our customers needs.
What You Will Do
- Perform coordination support for extensive asset base of M&TE (measuring and test equipment) covering calibration, repairs, rentals, and preventative maintenance.
- Help to facilitate compliance and adherence with the engineering labs for support of Environment Health Safety and Sustainment requirements.
Property & Metrology Management - Create purchase requisitions for government, capital and expense assets that need services support.
- Work with buyers and supply chain management support the processing of purchase orders.
- Request for quote for services, equipment and capital as needed.
- Rentals support will include sourcing, requisition creating, facilitating calibration, repairs and maintenance and supplier interaction while working with customer to ensure funding is available for lifespan of the rental.
- Safeguarding of classified/proprietary material, hardware, and documentation, utilizing defense material/property under Export Administration Regulations
- Work autonomously with limited oversight, organized, good at multitasking and follow up.
- This position requires some physical exertion while standing, sitting, walking, working outside with movement of assets.
- Local travel in the general area is required, with occasional travel outside the local area.
